New Year New Me (It's a good start)

Ok so it's 2013 and I like many have decided to be more dedicated to me and the things that make me happy.  I love crafting and sometimes I seat at my desk making a bunch of nothing but it makes me happy.  There time I will start on a project I lose interest in and I force myself to complete (we all been there) and in that process I found the huff to enjoy the process.  So heres to a new year with blessing and Sista power etc etc and all that jazz.

Ok now on to some fun stuff, this page was inspired by Donna D texture page a few Wed. ago.  So I dug in my stashed and found some texture paper stuff I purchased from a art warehouse.  They sold the paper by the rolls it similar to linen and cotton mixed together but its takes a beating.

I use gel medium to hold down the texture paper then added Golden gray and a pale yellow with a rust and gold  (not exact color names) .  I also added some masking take and a tag with embellishment to add my style (still not sure of what's my style but any whoo).  I love the final out come, the color combo are very earth tone a little different from my normal selection.  Oh it a new me right (Ha)!!

Here are some tags I've done for a swap I hosted on SOC, so much fun my first time hosting a swap.

Not bad lots of detail and embellishments, thank God I only had to make 15. I used a little bit of every thing finally got to use my MS glitter and dusted off the my cricut to cut the snowflakes and tags. I wanted to use an untraditional colors for xmas and BoBunny had them with this chocolate and blue. TFL

Heres a LO I created of my DH, when he see me working at my desk he always say "who are you doing a LO of" and I respond then he reply "when are you going to do a LO of me" so here it is a LO of my DH.  titled "My home is with u"

Finally

This is a LO of myself in the Bahamas water...1st time in many many many years I worn a bathing suit and when I saw myself in it I told myself "not bad" it just took 37yrs to get here (haha). Journal says "Finally ok with all of me, size 12 and 154lbs at 37yr. TFL


This LO was so much fun to make I just plain white cardstock( I got a stack of this cardstock at a craft Expo) I think it's really journal paper because I put a beaten on this paper and it took it.  I'm thinking I will make a few journals for friends as a Xmas gift.

Getting my Mojo back

Hello my scrapping sistas, just wanted to show you some of my LOs I have completed.  I haven't done many LOs this year, kinda been working on my mix media / art journal skills.  Then I have those mini albums I have been making for others that I finally completed.

Also my youngest daughter started making jewelery so she has this nack about starting thing that are costly and not completing them ex. dancing (after I paid for a few lesson she didn't attend), soft ball, the recorder, violin etc.  So if I don't constantly encourage her and be very involve this to will be stored in the garage but unlike the other she has lost of jewels, stones and charms I can incorporate in my craft.

Also my scrapping sista Shona has a new online scrapbooking/crafting supplies store it call         Moments to Treasures Scrapbooking.  I got all my supplies for these LO from her store.  Stop by and support her store she has awesome deals and great products.

Where have you been Renee? & Camera Phone Memories

Oh no where just been neglecting my crafts and blog.  I will put every effort forward to do better by both anywho in my recovery I picked up a new obession, yes I did journal art.  One day I get enough courage to share with the World Wide Web.  Well in the mean time heres a LO I complete for the Page Map challenge.  Oh course I didn't post it in time even though I competed the LO a few weeks ago some how I just let the deadline past me bye (lol).

Well after 5yrs of never upgrading my phone I finally upgrade to a Iphone and I'm always snapping pics and making videos us all day everyday and my family are normally great sports about it.

My photo of the LO sucks and I have photoshop why didn't I touch it up?  Hmmm maybe cause I don't know how to use it and haven't took the time out to attend a online workshop or watch a tutorial (yes I talk to myself).  TFL                                      Nae be Bless

What I been up to?

I am glad you asked, here are a few layouts I got done.  I went back to work for half a day and of course like any job they try to get the most work out of you in the short time you there.  Basically I doing 8hrs of work in a 4hr period.  Anywhoo enough of me whining, I am working on cards you heard me cards.  Everyone one knows I am a retard when it comes to cards making but I been researching and trying to find my own style which still in progress, I will give you a look soon.
